The Growing Process
We have two sources of hemp; an onsite indoor grow, which is pesticide free and a partnership with a Tennessee local organic farmer for sourcing larger scale harvests as needed. The onsite grow, located in Nashville, Tennessee, is owned by Grown Proper. Our external source, has been hand-picked specifically for their organic certification and local relationship. They supplement the indoor grow based on production demands. Our TN farmer is certified organic by an outside third party (ECOCert SA). We utilize living soil and no till practices at our indoor grow facility and we uphold the integrity of these practices by sourcing organic outdoor hemp from a local farmer as well. Living soil is an organic practice of feeding the soil with organic inputs only and recycling the soil harvest to harvest to retain those nutrients.
Extraction
We use an efficient and consistent organic ethanol extraction method that gives us the capability of recycling our ethanol for sustainability. Through rotary evaporation, decarboxylation, and distillation, the organic ethanol is fully removed, leaving behind the purest form of the plant’s cannabinoids with a full expression. That means we are utilizing every component of the plant: primary and minor cannabinoids, trichomes (trichomes encapsulate the cannabinoids and terpenes), and terpenes instead of isolating out a single cannabinoid for use. We carry a unique variety of genetics that express a variety of minor cannabinoids (i.e. CBG, CBC) that work synergistically with the primary cannabinoid for a fuller impact and effect in the final products.
Quality Control
We take quality control very seriously. We test throughout each step of our process to ensure traceability and consistency for our products. This includes full panel testing, for pesticides and microbials, as well as potency and terpenes. We also test for purity, which ensures that nothing we produce contains solvents or heavy metals.
Currently, there is no FDA regulation in regards to the hemp industry, which is why we aspire to be transparent with testing and traceability for each product. We are also undergoing the process of USDA organic certification. Unlike most companies who outsource for various processes, we accomplish everything under one roof from seed to sale, an onsite laboratory and in house chemists.
We operate under complete transparency. We also provide our customers with a Certificate of Analysis and a copy of most recent test on every product. All our products are responsibly sourced and produced with clean, natural ingredients, before being lab-verified and personally tested by our team.
