You’ve seen and heard about CBD, maybe your friends have tried it, but you have questions. What does it feel like? Will it get you high? Educating yourself with solid information about what CBD can do for you is the best place to start.
Q: Is hemp a controlled substance?
A: No. The Farm Bill removed hemp from the list of controlled substances under federal law. This means that hemp, which broadly includes cannabinoids, derivatives and extracts derived from hemp, is no longer considered a “controlled substance” under federal law like marijuana.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will regulate the cultivation of hemp. Each state keeps the right to pass hemp legislation at the state and local level, subject to approval by USDA.
Q: Will CBD get me high?
A: CBD is not considered psychoactive. Although it’s found in high concentrations in hemp plants, CBD has a different atomic arrangement than THC, which has a drastically different effect on the body’s endocannabinoid system. Our products have 0.3% THC or less and will not cause psychoactive effects or feelings of intoxication.
Q: What does CBD feel like?
A: Since everyone’s body chemistry is different there is no one answer. What we can say is that unlike THC where you feel a sudden “high,” CBD’s effects are more subtle. According to research, the most common effect from CBD is an increased sense of calm, ease, and relaxation, kind of like the calm you get from meditating. B GREAT products are formulated to fit into your daily routine to help you feel a general sense of wellbeing and balance.
Q: How do I know which CBD products are for me?
A: That depends on your goals and what your body needs. First make sure the CBD product you are interested in is well-tested for efficacy and ingredients. Then consider whether you are looking for a topical or a ingestible. Topical CBD products like lotions and balms are applied to the skin. CBD works with the skin’s endocannabinoid system receptors to help relieve aches and soreness and reduce post-workout inflammation. Ingestible products like hemp oil, capsules or shot drinks work with other endocannabinoid receptors to help create a sense of calm and wellbeing as well as support cognitive function.
Q: How much CBD is in your products?
A: The amount of CBD in each B GREAT product varies. Our products are formulated with smaller amounts of CBD for people who are interested in CBD but aren’t sure they want to go all-in on high-dosage products.
